I was inspired by the thoroughly awesome former mayor of El Cerrito, CA. I wanna be VP, too! And with my experience as co-owner of BPAL, I'm sure I have the experience. Hell, we're in Los Angeles; I can see Mexico from here! And my grandfather was a Philippine ambassador. (Take that, Sarah Palin!) Thus, I have foreign policy experience in spades. And at 3am, I'm usually still working, so I'll be up when the red phone rings!

Let's all play a game. Why should YOU be VP?

dude, I was QUEEN of my kingdom in Utopia for two weeks about 8 years ago! Queen is a helluva lot better than being mayor or governor!

I can see the moon from my house!

Well, I used to run a country in the Jennifer Government: NationStates game, and I've played both SimCity2000 and Rome: Total War, so I definitely have experience with government and military! I've also played a lot of Resident Evil games, so if the zombie apocalypse comes, I'm ready.
I'm from Maine, so I'm "outside Washington" and all, my dad's worked on computers for the FBI... I go to school ten miles from the Canadian border (Quebec, so they speak French - that counts, right?) - foreign policy experience ftw! Oh, and I've actually taken Political Science classes. :P

My great uncle six times removed was Vice-President of the United States so I am sure that I am qualified to be Vice President, too! Also, two of my D&D characters have run small countries, that must count for some leadership points, yes? *snerk*

I'm a landscape architect, so I know ALL ABOUT development and the environment and sprawl - which is a major concern for our constituents.

I live in NYC which means that I live in one of the most diverse places on earth - which makes me an expert on foreign policy since the train I take to work is full of foreingers. In fact, I work with a German national, which means I know ALL ABOUT international diplomacy as I have to interact with him all day!

I, by myself in a room, am a perfect representative of several communities accross America as I am a woman (vote for me PUMAs!), queer, and I am a mix of Jewish (Israel will feel safe!), Native American (the Liberal vote), African American (get that vote), AND Irish (blue collar baby)!

This past week I ate mexican, indian, and thai food and the menus had pictures of the country flags on them, thus I have more foreign experience than the Thing That Should Not Be VP (Ia! Ia! Palin Fhtagn!).

I'm a Brian 12-pack which makes me twice their Joe 6-pack, I'm a hockey fan in a state with an NHL HOCKEY TEAM which one ups the hockey mom at the ass end of nowhere, and I've done plumbing construction work which makes me more real than joe the plumber.

I don't have a look-alike on SNL, so I'm a safer bet there :D

I've played Magic the Gathering and Civilization, so I'm a pro at resource management and diplomacy.

I should be VP because I'm a much better flute player than Sarah Palin. Also, I'm in NC so I can see...uh...Knoxville, TN...which means I know how to deal with mobs of crazed football fans...

Uh...

I'm the mother of an 8 year old with severe ADHD. I can multitask, have insomnia, shop on a budget, delegate responsibilities (teaching the teachers how to deal with my daughter), and have the patience of a saint. well..until you piss me off, then it's ON! *snicker*

Oh, and last but not least...I HAVE A UTERUS...therefore I must be perfect!

I was born at Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox, KY. My father was in the army. So was his father, and grandfather. My other grandfather was in WWII, great grandfather in WWI and his parents came here from Germany. We lived in Panama on the army base there when we still had control of the Panama Canal. I've also lived in Texas, Indiana, and Illinois. I honeymooned in Cancun and had 5 years of Spanish. Sounds good enough to me. Oh, and I have a degree in Equine Studies, have worked my ass off at horse farms, am married and pregnant with my first child.

Oh! And I've worked at a bank for the last 6 years as a bookkeeper, and now I handle overdrawn customers. I could balance our budget in 2 days flat.

(I may just vote for my icon. It'd be safer.)

I can be VP because not ONLY can I see Mexico from here, but I've also been far up in the US that I could also see Canada.. THREE WHOLE TIMES.

Also, I eat food like two or three times a day. People in the United States eat food, too. I totally understand them.

Because of my innate humility, I would rather see Rosanne Cash in the role:

I don't think her arguments can be gainsaid.

I'm president of the biology club! I have great experience with dealing with people. Oh, and I've dated two non-Americans, so CLEARLY, I have terrific foreign relations. *snickersnort* No one said they couldn't be biblical in nature.

I'm in Burlington, VT so I am on Lake Champlain...and while I don't live *on* the lake I live up high and there's a certain angle from one of our windows where I can get a teensy glimpse of the lake, sometimes! So I can monitor the comings and goings, you know, and see New York from my house. Also I am not far from Canada, so maybe I could find a way to keep an eye on them also.

Additionally, as an unemployed school librarian, I know what it is like to be a Normal Unemployed Person, so Joe Six Pack and I would get along. I also have experience with classroom management, and I imagine that corraling 7th graders is similar to foreign policy!

I should be VP because I don't have enough sense to know my ass from a hole in the ground and apparently that meets McCain's requirements.

I sadly cannot be VP--I cannot see Russia from my house and no one has yet invaded my airspace.

I do, however, have a sweeping pirate hat, a cutlass and leadership qualities honed from years of tech writing and the RenFaire. Therefore, I shall be reporting as head of the Navy (and also Department of Commerce posthaste....this also gives me trade experience, so I should be able to take care of the Treasury as well, because I love to multitask) I have not yet begun to fight...and arrr!
