Date: 2008-01-24 03:52 am (UTC)I'd take monsoon-like rain over that any day. :)
(And man, what was I thinking? I'm totally doing this AZ-IA partial living thing wrong! I should be living in AZ in the winter, and IA in the summer, rather than getting temperatures that feel like 125°F in the summer and -30°F in the winter!)

Date: 2008-01-24 02:51 pm (UTC)Oh! Joyous! The actual temperature is now -17°F and it feels like -36°F! ...and people wonder why I want to flee to Arizona? At least when it's 120°F, you go in the shade and it's only 100, and it's really not that bad... it just feels like you're standing in the middle of an oven. It's really hard to describe how cold this is.

Date: 2008-01-24 03:29 pm (UTC)It really was awesome. I'm definitely going to have to come back and explore more of the city and the mountains and the coast (and wine country!). And hopefully hang out with y'all some more. :-)
Seriously though, the weather alone would be enough to entice me to come back/move out there.

I am starting to think this drought will never break & that this is what it's going to be like from here on.
Yeah - & some still think there's no such thing as global warming...clearly they do not live in Australia....arsehats.
I love the rain, had I not travelled to Japan last year I'd have forgotten what it looks like.
