It is fuckin' /pouring/ rain tonight.

Could be worse! It's snowing, currently 4°F outside (but it feels like -17°F), and it's supposed to get down to -10°F (actual temperature) before day breaks!

I'd take monsoon-like rain over that any day. :)

(And man, what was I thinking? I'm totally doing this AZ-IA partial living thing wrong! I should be living in AZ in the winter, and IA in the summer, rather than getting temperatures that feel like 125°F in the summer and -30°F in the winter!)

I'm in AZ, and it's nice here. Cold as shit after dark, tho'.

No, no it's not. Well, maybe up in Flagstaff it may actually get a little chilly, but not down where I live when I live in AZ (Tucson) -- it barely breaks freezing ... and right now, that's a 45° improvement!

Methinks you need to rethink your summer-winter homes. ;)

Yeah :P

Oh! Joyous! The actual temperature is now -17°F and it feels like -36°F! ...and people wonder why I want to flee to Arizona? At least when it's 120°F, you go in the shade and it's only 100, and it's really not that bad... it just feels like you're standing in the middle of an oven. It's really hard to describe how cold this is.

You win. But if you're in IA, that means I've got that on the way (I'm in Madison).

I love it when it really rains, as long as I don't have to be OUT in it. ;D

Yeah, it gets old really, really fast. Winters in Portland left me feeling completely unwell, soggy, moldy, and mossy. I swore it was all growing off of me!

I see your pouring rain and I raise you sporadic snow showers and still-unmelted ice on the roads from this time last week. YAY MIDWEST WINTERS! *stabs self (blood freezes)*

Hey, that's why they invented frequent-flyer miles, right?

It really was awesome. I'm definitely going to have to come back and explore more of the city and the mountains and the coast (and wine country!). And hopefully hang out with y'all some more. :-)

Seriously though, the weather alone would be enough to entice me to come back/move out there.

Our garage flooded. AGAIN. Despite everything the Beloved did to patch the concrete/shore up the floor. It's 90 years old and I should be thankful that at least the valuable stuff was on wooden planks. Because OMG.

I am starting to think this drought will never break & that this is what it's going to be like from here on.

Yeah - & some still think there's no such thing as global warming...clearly they do not live in Australia....arsehats.

I love the rain, had I not travelled to Japan last year I'd have forgotten what it looks like.

The one time I went to LA it rained for 5 days straight. Everyone was freaking out, it was the big story on the news every night. I actually like rainy weather so I was okay with it.
